Privacy Policy — Soulshade
In short: Soulshade has no accounts and we do not collect your personal information. Your progress is saved only on your device. If you choose to watch an advert, Google's advertising service may collect data as described below. Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play.
Who we are
Soulshade is made by Hushful Volcano ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hushfulvolcano@gmail.com.
Information stored on your device
The game saves your progress and settings in a file on your device: levels won, best moves and stars, your recent runs (for the replays), how many undos, hints, restarts and deaths you used, the help cards and story scenes you have seen, your purchase status, and your settings (language, volume, vibration, reduced motion, high contrast). This file never leaves your device and is not sent to us. Uninstalling the game deletes it.
Advertising
The free version offers optional adverts — for example, to get an extra undo or a hint. Adverts are shown only when you choose to watch one. They are provided by Google AdMob. When an advert is requested or shown, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with the advert, in order to deliver, measure and, where you allow it, personalise adverts. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), the game asks for your consent before any advert is shown, and you can change your choice later.
To learn how Google uses this information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can reset your advertising identifier or opt out of personalised adverts in your device's settings.
Purchases
The optional purchase is processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details. Google Play tells the game whether the purchase was made, so the game can unlock it and restore it on a new device.
What we do not do
- No accounts, sign-ins or social features.
- No analytics or tracking of our own.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- The game does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, photos or location.
Children
Soulshade is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
You can play the whole campaign without watching any advert. You can delete all game data by uninstalling the game, or reset your progress from the game's settings. For questions about data collected by Google's advertising service, use the controls on your device or Google's privacy tools. For anything else, write to us.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
